Heather is on livery at Buxton's Farm and is having regular help from Denise, who schools Khaled once or twice a week." -
Heather says "Khaled has a lovely temperament but I felt he was on the forehand and used to pull the contact downwards all the time. He could pull me right out of the saddle sometimes. I didn't want to get strong in the hand but I didn't know how to stop this" -
Denise has a strong seat and by working on Khaleds balance plus my core stability we are managing to turn a corner. I could feel a difference after Denise had only ridden him once
Livery Services Available
General Information
In addition to the livery packages detailed below, you are also welcome to tailor make your own livery requirements. This can be ideal for those clients who work shifts or who need to work away from home periodically.
You can complete a weekly chart, to detail exactly what you would like done each day, and you can vary this as much as you need to, allowing you the time to relax and unwind with your horse, whenever you have the time.
Our aim is to put our clients and their horses first, and you can always be assured of experienced, considerate handling of your horse. You let us know how you would like things done and we will do them that way for you.
Schooling Principles
All schooling is done by me personally, with the aim to get your horse supple, soft and even in the contact, so making him a pleasure for you to ride when you take him home.
All horses can improve, no matter what their difficulties, age or conformation, but you can be assured that we do not hurry or force any issues. I will advise you if I think there is any physical discomfort, and can recommend some wonderful, ethical practitioners from a variety of backgrounds to work with your horse if you agree that this is necessary. As a qualified saddle fitter, I routinely check the saddle of any horse I am working with and you will be consulted at every step of the way if any difficulties are encountered.
My aim is to share with you my experience and knowledge, and to use this to help you be able to take the schooling of your horse further.
Lessons and biomechanical assessments of you and your horse together can be done at the start of any schooling programme, or at any time during it, and are always included as a matter of course at the end of your stay.
