ABOUT THIS SERIES

Level 1 Confidence Booster Series of Courses-  These are aimed at riders who would like to gain more confidence in some aspects of their riding. It is not just novice riders with their own horse who will get a huge amount out of these courses; more experienced riders who may have a single aspect of their riding (eg. Jumping or hacking) where they feel they would like to  be more confident will also benefit. The courses are designed to provide the right level of support and tuition  so that the rider goes home brimming with confidence in their new found skills. All the courses at this level are 2 days long and are held at a weekend, with arrival on the Friday evening.

COURSE INFORMATION

This course will suit anyone who really wants to give their youngster the best possible start in life. The foundations for all future work start now, and there is expert help and support available throughout the weekend. Ideally, your young horse will be at or beyond the stage where he is backed and working off the lunge, so that the rider can really gain confidence and skill in knowing exactly what comes next. There is also plenty to be gained for those horses who are a little further along in their training.

COURSE FORMAT

The timetable on this course begins on the Saturday morning at 8.15 with a theory session in the class room, followed by a demonstration of lungeing techniques aimed at improving the reactivity, confidence and topline of the young horse. Each participant then has a private lesson lasting 45 minutes each some of which  will be videoed, followed by the video feedback and question and answer session, with a review of the day's progress.

The second day is similar, but the demonstration is replaced by a slightly longer theory session. The last session of the day will help you to formulate a plan for continuing your progress at home, as well as the video feedback. The course will finish at 5pm.
